对李洪涛绘画的观察

李洪涛大师正如那些抽象的表现主义画家一样,用壮丽的色彩的聚集来表达对人生的激情和生命意义的理解。尽管他所有的作品里使用的颜色都相当丰富,但却不难识别的每一幅画的个性特征。作为一个观赏者, 我很想知道一个画家怎么可以如此成功地将他的热情栽种在特定的颜色中在色彩的形状中在大块或是头发丝般细微的笔触中, 在其它无数的因子中。

颜色作为李洪涛大师的主题存在于他所有的画中。他精湛的技能永远是显著的, 他的内涵却是隐晦的。作为一个观众, 我总是忍不住想问, 他想通过几何形状的色彩说些什么呢? 自然的题材在他的作品里非常盛行, 也许那有关太阳、月亮、森林、河流和浮云的内容会是一条途径,引导我们去探索李洪涛的真正意图: 画面里所弥漫出的神圣又神秘的光是画家在精神方面的感受。如果是这样的话, 那么对他的探索可以在作品“未来,和“雨后的阳光”里找到答案。故然无论下雨还是阳光都无法确定得更具体些,而这种感觉却实实在在地传递出来了。至于在色彩的冲突中和色块的形状中出现的实性特征, 作品“东海上的月夜”最为接近标识伟大绘画的全要素。或许这就是洪涛绘画的本质所在

 

An Observation regarding the paintings of Li Hongtao

Master Li Hongtao is among those abstract expressionists who use so magnificent a gathering of colors to express passions for life and ideas about the meaning of life.  The colors are used so profusely in all of his paintings, but it is not difficult to identify the individuality of each painting. As a viewer, I wonder how a painter could so successfully plant his passion in specific paints – and their shapes – swathes, hairline brush strokes, and  innumerable others.

Color is Li Hongtao’s subject matter in almost all of his paintings. His mastery of technical skills is always apparent, but not so is his content. As a viewer, I am always tempted to ask, what does he want to say beyond the geometric shapes of paints?  Somehow nature prevails throughout his work, and perhaps this content – suggestions of suns, moons, forests, rivers and floating clouds lead to the path that touches Li Hongtao’s intent:  the numinous, the mystical light that pervades spiritual feeling. If this is so, then his search can be found in “Future” and “Sunshine after Rain.” Yet neither rain nor sunshine can be identified specifically. The feeling is conveyed certainly. As for substantive identity that appears within the clash of colors and controlled shapes of paint, “Night with Moon of East Sea” comes closest to the totality that identifies great painting. Perhaps this is the identity of Hongtao’s paintings.
