Thoughts of An Adolescent
Sitting alone, trapped in a dark room like caverns It’s like I’m free to help others, it’s just myself I can’t manage It’s a daily struggle just to look upon to see That the whole world seems to be moving on but me What’s the use of answers if I can’t figure out who am I If what goes around comes around, then why should I even try? Emotionless countenance, but my inner voice is screaming inside Always asking why, it’s like I need to find the meaning of life To be satisfied, searching for my identity and self Because one is only as strong as their entity compels Them to me, I must avoid materialistic objects tempting me In order to be pure physically, figuratively, and mentally No adolescent thoughts, too many questions, too much progression Objectives too complex for the thoughts of an adolescent ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Through The Darkness
Through the darkness, I search for any hope of light To shine through my murky abyss I call the woes of life Hoping for the day when it all becomes correct and clear When optimism will make me audaciously stand next to fear Until that day, I’m still searching for radiance for eternity
Clear vision becoming blurred from so much obscurity As I observe with the eye of a tiger, unraveling facts Confused at the sight of so many people with shadowy pasts Never appearing to be what they show on the outside Looking into their inside, finding so much of what they hide
Everything that was once so clear becoming hard to see Gazing for aspiration, but the vigor slowly departs from me Pound for pound, mustering every ounce of strength Making sure that my life doesn’t go down the drain Watching so many fall off as they shout in pain Making sure that I do not plummet down the same
Through the darkness, I search for any hope of light To shine through my murky abyss I call the woes of life
